The Woodgate Beach Caravan Park is very wooded providing plenty of shade. The caravan sites are spacious and not too close together.
Our site was on the southern fence line and Kangaroos grazed on the grass on the other side of the fence. We can recommend this caravan park to anyone wanting to stay at Woodgate.
The park map can be found here: Park Map We were on site 220.
Like all of the sites we visited on the east coast during this trip, the caravan park was full or near full.
Make sure you visit Theodolite Creek Park Swimming Area. This is at the end of Theodolite Creek Drive, a road that runs north from Woodgate. This is spectacular at low tide due to the wide expanse of exposed clean sand.
To the south of Woodgate is Walker's Point. This is a good picnic area with a boat ramp into the Isis River just north of Burrum Heads. There is a video of Walker's Point further down this page and here.
Below is a very short video showing parts of the Caravan Park.
